A band clinic is an informal meeting and learning session with one or multiple guest musicians or performers. These clinicians advise, teach, guide and coach our students on ways to make improvements and fine tune their work. The educational sessions can be with a larger group or with specific musical sections, depending on the clinicians' area of expertise. For various LHS ensembles, our students have the chance to work with clinicians throughout the school year.
Marching Band Clinic
Due to heat advisories, this 2023 event is significantly shortened. The band will do clinic in the morning and perform at 10 am. All school events must wrap by noon.
On August 19, 2023, the LHS Marching Patriots are attending the Roosevelt High School Marching Band Annual Marching Clinic along with 8 other local bands. Students participate in the clinic during the day at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. Students and families: see your email for a message from the band directors on a more detailed daytime agenda. It's especially important to make sure students have a plan for lunch and dinner, which are on their own.
Join us for exhibition (non-competitive) field show performances in the evening that are open to the public.
