Individual Student Accounts

Marching band and fall color guard students have an individual student account (ISA) set up to keep track of balances due and fundraising dollars accrued for these programs. The Band Parent Association has a volunteer ISA Treasurer who uses a software program to manage student accounts.

Student Accounts: What They Cover & How to Pay

For various programs students participate in, there are costs families are responsible for above and beyond what the school district and the Band Parent Association is able to cover. The program cost students are responsible for will be communicated in advance to families, and amounts will be higher during big trip years. We offer convenient online payments plus cash and check options. Scholarships are also available.

Marching Band 2026

Typically, fall program amounts are announced by April before the season.
For fall 2026, the ISA amount is $995.
Fall color guard amounts may be higher and will be communicated directly to students and families.

NEW: $95 Deposit due May 16
- It will be pulled from your ISA if you have a balance
- If none or not sufficient balance, write a check payment to LHS Band and note the student’s first and last name
  - Mail to: LHS Marching Band, PO Box 2965 Sioux Falls, SD 57101
  - Drop in band room lock box: Can be cash or check, but include your student’s name
  - If you sign up for a State Track work shift before May 16, you do not need to pay the deposit by cash or check
In early June you will receive a text from CutTime with a link to your statement
New band members will also have a $70 charge for marching band essentials on July 5.
Fall color guard amounts may vary and will be communicated directly to guard families.

These amounts will be announced directly to participating students and families at the start of these seasons. Not all of our jazz band ensembles need supporting ISAs.

Program costs covered by ISAs most often include:

Music, music instruction and percussion arrangement
Color guard and marching band staff
Transportation, lodging and some meals for specific competitions
Transportation of students and gear to various venues

There are additional costs occur for out-of-pocket expenses, which may vary and are subject to change:

Marching band uniform elements that are personal to you (t-shirt underneath and shoes)
Spirit wear
Meals not covered by the BPA
Instrument rental from the school district (select instruments)
Fees and travel for band and color guard programs not part of fall marching season
Other costs

Scholarships may be available to help with financial assistance. Refer to our form to complete a request, which will be confidentially reviewed by the BPA executive board.

Getting Your Statement

The BPA uses CutTime to manage individual student account costs and balances. A parent or guardian associated with a student will receive a text message from CutTime with their balance. The link you receive is your magic link. Be sure to save it the link and save the phone number you receive from CutTime in your phone, as all messages will come from the same number.

The BPA does not take payments via CutTime. See details above.
