festival of bands
Lincoln High School joins other Sioux Falls schools to host the Festival of Bands, which takes place the first Saturday of October each year. The Festival brings bands from multiple states to Sioux Falls to compete in parade and field marching performances. As a host school:

We play in exhibition (not for competition or scoring) in both the parade and the field marching events.

Our band families are responsible for staffing a number of volunteer shifts.

Parade Performance

The parade starts at 8:30 am, and the route is near Covell Lake. See the Festival website for route details.

Attendance is free for spectators.

Lincoln steps off at 10:45 am. Students will bus to the parade start from LHS. Students and families: watch for emails from the band for details.
​Field Marching Performance

Field events start at 10:15 am and run through 10 pm at Howard Wood Field.

Lincoln performs in exhibition at 5:30 pm. Students and families: watch for emails from the band for details.

Tickets are $15 adults, $5 students, free for kids 5 and under. No senior or military discounts.
