Marching Events
The fall marching season is a busy and exciting one for Lincoln Band and color guard students, directors, instructors, volunteers, families and fans. You can see our full schedule on the calendar, but here are some highlights for key performances and competitions in fall 2025.
September

September 19: Homecoming football game halftime performance & pep band, Howard Wood Field, game kickoff at 5 pm. Get tickets on Bound.

September 20: Wildcat Classic competition, Buell Field, Omaha, NE

September 27: Golden Regiment Invitational, Blue Springs High School, MO


October

October 4: Festival of Bands exhibition performances with a morning street parade in downtown Sioux Falls and the evening field show at Howard Wood Field

October 11: Youth in Music competition in Minneapolis, MN

October 17-18: Bands of America Super Regional competition in St. Louis, MO

Wildcat Classic (Sept 20)

Prelims & Finals: Bands perform in prelims to determine they advance to finals.

Expected LHS prelim time: 2:15 PM​

Plan to arrive early as any outside factor could result in a time change (band drops out, weather, running ahead of schedule, etc.)

Tickets: Purchase tickets in person the day of the event.

Admission for the day is $10 for adults, $7 for students and senior citizens.​

Tickets: Choose between reserved seats or general admission.

Spectator Tips:

Parking: Plan time to park and walk to the dome. There are many paid parking garages within several blocks of the venue. Many families use the Park Whiz or Spot Hero apps to find and even reserve parking.

Event tickets: Each session (prelims and finals) requires a separate ticket. It's recommended that you purchase online. If you want, you can wait to purchase a finals ticket until we know if LHS makes finals.

Stadium details: Small, clear bags are allowed in stadium. YIM merch available is for purchase. Concessions are available, and they are cashless concessions.

Safety: Just like in any city, we recommend you stay aware of your surroundings (not looking down at your phone), and walk with or have a buddy.

Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional (Oct 17-18)

Location: The Dome at America's Center, 701 Convention Plaza, St. Louis, MO, 63101​

October 17-18 Prelims: The competition features about 70 bands from 10+ states including some of the top bands in the country. Bands from all classes perform Friday morning through Saturday until the prelims awards mid-afternoon. The Lincoln Band's prelim time is TBA on Friday.​

October 18 Evening Finals: The top-scoring bands advance to finals. If Lincoln advances to finals, we will learn that at prelims awards and receive our finals performance time shortly after that

Tickets: Choose between general admission or reserved seating.

Travel: The band will begin travel on Thursday and stay overnight in the Kansas City area. Friday, we will drive to St. Louis. Students will stay overnight in the St. Louis area Friday night. Saturday night, the buses will leave St. Louis after all of the event and drive through the night back to Sioux Falls. Stay tuned to emails from the directors and BPA for more details closer to the event.
